Samantha Hancox was found dead in an armchair in her home. She had barely left her house for the past eighteen years suffering from an acute form of obsessive-compulsive disorder OCD which manifested itself in a debilitating fear of germs. Her elderly parents have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter, as it emerged Samantha spent up to 20 hours in the shower on a daily basis. In a somewhat twisted irony, the over-showering lead to a skin infection and dehydration which lead to her death.
