It has been confirmed today that coming with the PS3 3.60 firmware update will be a new feature called "Online Saving". This feature allows the users save data to be remotely uploaded to the Cloud. The benefits of this are not only the hard drive space that the feature will save, but also the potential for a users data to be pulled down onto different systems. The catch with this feature is that it will be limited to Playstation Plus account holders only and will be a feature that developers do have the option of opting out of. The implementation of the Cloud in relation to gaming is most definitely tied to its future and such an update is a significant move in the right direction for symbiotic Cloud Gaming.
