Lapik The Space Monkey's Favourite Hip-Hop Records.

Lapik is a monkey who flew into space back in 1996. His friend Multik, who was also on the mission, sadly died. Lapik earned a pair of Pioneer Decks as reward for the mission. He then bought these records for his new home. We ranked them from 1 to 8 based on whatever record got played the most to the least. Unsurprisingly they all have monkey themes in them.

1. De La Soul-3 Feet High and Rising

Measure in my music, raised in three parts
Casually see but don't do like the soul
'cause seein' and doin' are actions for monkeys

2. Beastie Boys- Licensed to Ill

(chorus) Brass Monkey - that funky Monkey
Brass Monkey - junkie
That funky Monkey

3. M.F Doom-Madvillainy 2 - The Madlib Remix.

4. Tribe Called Quest-Midnight Marauders

Please proceed with caution 'cause the lyricist is fatal
I can kick your little monkey ass like Kato
Formulate your rhymes like a child forms Playdo
Calm an' serene like the study was Tayo

5. Del Tha Funky Homosapien-Automatik Statik

6. Nas-Illmatic

Rappers I monkey flip 'em with the funky rhythm I be kickin
Musician, inflictin composition
of pain I'm like Scarface sniffin cocaine

7. Wu Tang Clan-8 Diagrams (note song below is bonus track on that album)

Hip hop junkie flunky, monkey see, monkey do
Great minds connect like mobster rings
[...]
Somebody let the monkeys out the cage
Over-crowded police blood bamboo bimbo
Chickenhead skeezer crackrock hoodrat
Somebody let the monkeys out the cage
Barney here is down to a feeding dreadlock
Armpit like two Buckwheat's in a headlock
Macy Gray's hair between your leg lock
Somebody let the monkeys out the cage
Ya mother's so cross-eyed, when she cry tears roll down her back
Somebody let the monkeys out the cage
Somebody let the monkeys out the cage

8. Public Enemy-Greatest Misses

The monkey ain't no joke
So you want to mess with the coke
Boy oh boy oh boy oh boy
The monkey ain't no joke
You better leave 'em alone
He's home grown he's the cyclone
